Unfortunately, the poster responded offline, so for anyone following
this thread, I wanted to let you all know that the problem was fixed. In
fact the fix was made early this week or lat last, and was already in
CVS. 

If I can make these suggestions without sounding too rude, I have two
comments:

1) try to keep conversations on the list so everyone can benefit.

2) before posting a bug, please try the CVS at sourceforge or the
snapshots at http://www.debisschop.net/src/nagios/.

Both of these practices conserve developer time, so more effort can be
spent on fixing bugs.
