I've been doing a lil bit of work this weekend on the build proces of
Solaris/SunOS packages... I am not quite yet ready to commit it to the
respository but when I do have it building a package that can be installed
completely via pkgadd... A few things I'd like to get input on is what we would
like the PKG abbrevated name to be... Typically they use a company identifier
but I am workin with using "NPDT" for Nagios Plugin Development Team and
building it as "NPDTplugins" figuring that a "core" package could be made for
Nagios itself... If that were the case then NPDT doesn't seem right... What I
have now that I've tested has generated a nagiosplugins-1.3.99-sol9-sparc-local
and nagiosplugins-1.3.99-sol7-sparc-local that I've tested with pkgadd and
pkgrm... What I still need to do is modify the Makefile.am to handle the
automated calls to what I've been doing by hand... I'm having configure handle
the generation of the pkginfo file and have a tools/solpkg script that builds
the actually package...

I started on this after I was having so much problem with was already in
the Makefile... Also after figuring out that the Solaris package format does not
use tar like the Makefile was trying to do...
