Initial Comment:

As an hostname is now allowed to begin with a digit so
shall be a hostname component:

es: ns.2way.de

This patch fixes the problem (present in 1.3.1, I've
not checked later versions)

Thanks for the report. We use a different way of checking hostnames in 
1.4 (by trying to resolve the given name)
