Summary: check_tcp fails propery parse: -E -s "\\\r"

Initial Comment:
With nagios-plugins 1.4.3 running on centos 4.2 redhat
based linux.

It gobbles all the \'s after the doubled one and
prints r rather than carrige return.

It should parse it as \ <cr>.

Using the string: "\\a\r" properly sends
"\ a <cr>". This makes it impossible to send
some strings.
