Hello!

I'm using nagios-plugins-1.4-2.0.rh7.rf on old (but updated) rh7.3
through local nrpe. On Nagios console I discovered frequent alarms
concerning this NTP, which actually is constantly flapping.
Locally issued /path/check_ntp -H 127.0.0.1 had acknowledged that, but
ntpd was still running and in sync with parent one.
After issuing command: "/path/check_ntp -H 127.0.0.1 -v" it turned out
that check_ntp was returning critical state when "offset 0.000000" and
OK state every one offset is different from 0.000000.
I suppose some divide by zero problem or similar ....

On rh7.3 is installed ntp-4.1.1-1 and kernel 2.4.30.

Jacek
