That sounds good - I'm not aware of an hddtemp plugin at least.

Please if you do go with a perl plugin consider using the shiny new
Nagios::Plugin modules on CPAN. They should make the non-interesting
plugin parts much simpler, and we'd value any feedback you might have
as a new user.
