Hi Jim				

I have the same issue.  As far as I can tell, the required libraries exist, but the build still can't find them.  Per the FAQ, I've used the '--with-gd-lib=/usr/local/lib' and '--with-gd-inc=/usr/local/include' as configure options.  However, my libjpeg files are in /opt/sfw/lib.  I even tried adding '--with-jpeg-lib=/opt/sfw/lib'.

Still no joy.  Any other suggestions?
