Initial Comment:
Bug #1985230 removed some badly written (though seemingly working) code that enabled parsing multi-line STRING responses from snmpget, causing it to segfault.

The segfault has been fixed already (sort of - plugins doesn't return OK yet), and a test case has been added to tests/check_snmp.t. Since I haven't had time to fix it yet I'm opening this bug to ease tracking this regression.

Lowering priority as right now the only effect is long strings being
truncated (I'm pretty sure nobody noticed they wereren't!), and a test has
been added for this.
