# How do I compile the plugins?

To compile version `1.x` of the plugins, you run:

    gzip -dc nagios-plugins-1.x.tar.gz | tar -xf -
    cd nagios-plugins-1.x
    ./configure
    make

You can then [install the plugins][installation].
