Hi,

I have a problem getting the stuff right. I use the 1.4 plugin series. Downloaded, ./configure, make, make install en use it. (just the same as de RH5 box). The reason to go to Mandrake was that the de RH5 box was not up to date with the Libs, and Mandrake came for free.

[root at nagios libexec]# ./check_ping -H 213.10.27.129 -w 400,20% -c 600,60% -t 30

/bin/ping -n -c 5 213.10.27.129

Error: Could not interpret output from ping command

On the RH5 box it works fine. I don't know were to look now. I don't want to implement a Windows sort of HP Openview app. but I have not much resources available to promote Linux in my org.

Ping Mandrake Linux 9.2
