Not to push you or anything, but did you find some time to adjust the
check_icmp code?

And do I need to look in the CVS tree, will you post it there?

Because in multicasting you address several targets with a single 
packet. Insofar as I'm aware, there is no multicast mode for ICMP, only 
unicast and broadcast.
