It could be the result of someone manually disabling this service.
(At least when I tried this the "P" is assigned to such a service).
In this case it means the service isn't checked at it's scheduled
time (e.g. in times of maintenance).
You can enable further checks by clicking on the service and
under "Service commands" select "Enable checks of this service".
(provided you enabled external commands)
You could also check that the service has not been disabled for
active checks in the config files.
