[Nagiosplug-help] Central administration of thresholds

Hi!

Yesterday I posted a mail asking if it was possible to pass
a variable to NRPE. I got an answer from Subhendu Ghosh (thanks)
which told me that this was not possible. 
We run BMC Patrol at our company and I've managed to get about
450 machines into my Nagios enviroment. Being able to 
pass variables would mean that we could get central 
administration of the thresholds. Administrating 450 machines
which have different thresholds and warning levels is getting
pretty hard. :)
Is it possible to solve this problem with another application
than NRPE?
