[Nagiosplug-help] check_ping Error: Could not interpret output from ping command On Mandrake 8.2

Hi

I'm running the newest version of Nagios(1.0b5) and Plugins (1.3beta1).

I can't get the chech_ping command to work :(  I have read all the doc's that I found and everything should be fine !!!

[root at quebec /]# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_ping -v -H 127.0.0.1 -w 3000,80% -c 5000,100% -p 5
/bin/ping -n -U -c ==> /bin/ping -n -U -c
Error: Could not interpret output from ping command

Fping work fine !!
[root at quebec /]# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_fping 127.0.0.1
FPING OK - 127.0.0.1 (loss=0.000000%, rta=1.320000 ms)


I have a FRENCH Version of mandrake installed with the us language pack also

[root at quebec /]# set
LANG=fr_CA
LANGUAGE=fr_CA:fr
LC_COLLATE=fr_CA
LC_CTYPE=fr_CA
LC_MESSAGES=fr_CA
LC_MONETARY=fr_CA
LC_NUMERIC=fr_CA
LC_TIME=fr_CA

Any pointers would be veray appreciated !
