Hi,

Do a 'make distclean' in the source directory just to make sure you're
not using cached data. Make sure your PATH environment variable
includes the location of your gcc binary and that your CC environment
variable is set to 'gcc' - make sure both are exported. Double check
that your gcc is able to compile binaries on SPARC Solaris 8...

Typically I will use a PATH of
'/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/ccs/bin' if the gcc is under
/usr/local/bin.

Good luck.

Dave.

Subject: [Nagiosplug-help] remote solaris client.

Hello,

I have trouble when I try to compile NRPE on my solaris o/s.
My solaris release version . SunOS 5.8 .. nrpe-1.5-sol8-sparc.tar

When I try to compile with command : ./configure
bash-2.03# ./configure
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... ./install-sh -c checking for
gcc... (cached) gcc checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler
cannot create executables.

I don'nt know those messages...
Anybody, if you have binary nrpe and plugin, I hope you want help me to
send to me... he he he...

Thanks before for all..

Tony.
