[Nagiosplug-help] too many alerts

Hi guys

I'm sure someone else has done this before.

We just upgraded the switch that the machine nagios is on is connected 
to. I forgot to stop nagios before this happened and subsequently 
received about 35 SMS messages.

Is there a way to limit the number of alerts that can be sent in a given 
time frame?
