If AIX and solaris have the /proc/meminfo node or equivalent, it should 
be trivial to fix the check_mem.sh script I posted yesterday to work 
with it.
If it does exist (on either AIX or solaris), can you please email me the 
output of it? I might be able to hack around a bit and get a generic 
solution working.
