[Nagiosplug-help] Howto monitor windows eventlog ???

I am planning to monitor windows eventlogs with Nagios.  I have
googled, and I have searched the archives to these lists.  I have not
found an exhaustive answer to the following question:

    What are the differences between the various windows eventlog tools?

Clearly, there are several tools available; and I need only one (1).
How can I select that one that best meets my needs?  Even if it behooves
me to setup rigorous trials of each, which one ought I to select first?

Please, understand, I am *not* asking `which is best?'; rather, I would
like pointers illustrating which features are in which tool, and which
are not.  Then, I can select that tool that has the most features that I
want.  Of course, reliability and usability are also factors.

What do you think?
