Okay, I'm talking to myself, again. Please forgive. . .

I've found that the current version of NsClient supports NRPE requests. I'll try using the NRPE::Handlers to execute a CMD batch file to count the number of files.

Subject: [Nagiosplug-help] Checking file count on Win2k3 server

Hi All,

I'm trying to check the size of a file queue on a Win2k3 server. I don't believe any of the stock perfmon counters actually count files in a folder.

Has anyone solved this scenario, yet? If so, how did you do it? I'm looking at adding a custom counter to perfmon but there's got to be a better way.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
