Try compiling with GNU gcc. You can download that from sunfreeware.com. Also you need to get the "make" from the same location.
Thanks,
Amitabh

Subject: [Nagiosplug-help] Greetings Everyone!

Even on this Labor day, I found myself inspired to install Nagios to
monitor systems in my LAN environment. With that said, I was able to
work through most of the compilation errors that I encountered for
the Nagios Source. Now that I thought all the rest would be water
under the bridge... Right??

So with that said, I'm having a *heck* of a time getting the
compilation done for the plugins. Shouldn't this be the easy part?
Nonetheless, can any advise me on fixing the following error
messages: PLEASE !! (On on Solaris 10, SunBlade 150, Kernel Level:
Generic_118833-18). I can provide PATH, versions, etc if need be.
I've googled the error but didn't see anything that *obvious* ??

Configuration Line (all compiled clean):
./configure --prefix=/apps/Nagios --with-nagios-user=nagios --with-
nagios-group=nagios --with-cgiurl=https://gravity/cgi-bin

First Error (I don't have any LDAP to monitor): #make
check_ldap.c:120: error: `LDAP_OPT_SUCCESS' undeclared (first use in
this function)
check_ldap.c:120: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only
once
check_ldap.c:120: error: for each function it appears in.)
check_ldap.c:141: warning: too many arguments for format
check_ldap.c:80: warning: unused variable `tls'
check_ldap.c:81: warning: unused variable `version'
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `check_ldap.o'

Second Error:
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all-recursive'
Current working directory /home/*******/Downloads/nagios-plugins-1.4.3
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all'
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install-recursive'

All Help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
