[Nagiosplug-help] mysql and nagios-plugins-1.4.5

I am running Fedora Core 2.6.11.1
nagios -2.7 and gd-2.0.33

I am having trouble with nagios-plugins-1.4.5
after ./configure
#make &&  make install does not install the plugins in the 
/usr/local/nagios/libexec directory

numerous mysql are errors are reported.

How should I address this problem.... can I use #./configure -- 
prefix=/sr/local/nagios/libexec
