[Nagiosplug-help] check_http and ampersand

Hi,

I have an issue with a url that contains and ampersand in it... linux thinks this is a background task, but really it is the URL I want to query.

I tried URL encoding the character with a %, but this didn't work because the web server didn't accept the URL that way, maybe for security reasons?
