Hi Hans,

The standard ping check comes from "check-host-alive", which is usually specified as the check_command attribute in your hosts.cfg definitions. Just change it to something more useful instead, like your SSL check.

Ta,
IR.

Subject: [Nagiosplug-help] Monitor a host where ping is disabled.

Hello,

I want to monitor several hosts where ping is disabled.
How can I disable the ping (standard) check in Nagios.
Only i can connect to the port 443 so i want to use the check_tcp plugin.

Thanks in advance

Eikelenboom, Hans
