[Nagiosplug-help] Help with understanding NRPE logs

nrpe server is surely not running on the monitoring server (A).
I also notice that /var/run/nrpe.pid is owned by root.root even though
nrpe.cfg has values defined to run nagios-nrpe-server as a nagios server.
What should be the file permission for nrpe.pid?
