I tried using urlize.

But the disadvantage is when the service starts working properly, I would lose 
the failure cases that I want to keep track of.

I was under the impression that URLIZE would take the output and create a new 
link on its own. But that's not the case.

What other things can I do if I want to see the output of the plugin?
