[Nagiosplug-help] check_http returns "forbidden" but page is accessible from browser

I'm stumped by the behaviour I'm getting from check_http on certain
servers. I have check_http configured on multiple servers and it's
working fine.

However, on certain servers, I get "access forbidden" when I use the
check_http plugin/command. If I go to the server in my web browser from
the nagios machine I can get to the page fine though... so I don't
understand why check_http is getting forbidden....

Also, if I telnet to port 80 on one of these machines and type "GET", I
get the page no problem... only check_http is giving me the "access
forbidden"... any idea why?

One other thing to mention: the server I'm trying to monitor doesn't
have a real main page, just the apache test page. It has a virtual host
running on a diff hostname, but when you access it by IP address, you
get the apache test page. Could that be causing some issues?

thx!
