Hi,
I have installed nagios ver 2.7
I am trying to install nagios-plugins-1.4.6 Linux machine (2.6.9-34.ELsmpx86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux).
After running the command "./configure --prefix=/usr/local/nagios --with-nagios-user=nagios --with-nagios-group=nagios\--with-cgiurl=nagios/cgi-bin"
 I get this output,

[root at mandb nagios-plugins-1.4.6]# ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/nagios --with-nagios-user=nagios --with-nagios-group=nagios\--with-cgiurl=nagios/cgi-bin
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for gawk... gawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking build system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
checking host system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
configure: error: --with-nagios-user is a deprecated option

And after the command "make" I get this output,

[root at mandb nagios-plugins-1.4.6]# make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
[root at mandb nagios-plugins-1.4.6]#

1. can you please help me with this ?

2. One more question can you tell me what MUST I install on the machine before installing the plugins ?

Thanks in advance,
Eli
